“mcpersso´s 310U – A sound so Eminent that even your cat wants it.”

As a young boy growing up in the 70’s, I listened to ABBA, The Sweet, Slade, Queen etc. This was the best music. At that time I lived on the countryside and one day when I walked in the fields, I could hear one of my siblings play loud music from the radio. I had never heard this sound before. It was so different, but at the same time, it sounded amazing.
Time passed, and it took me 4-5 years to figure out, whom it was. Jean Michel Jarre. I was completely sold. His music was my biggest inspiration when I first started working with music and computers and it still is. In my opinion the amazing albums Oxygene, Equinoxe, Magnetic Fields, The Concerts in China, Zoolook and Rendez-Vous should belong to their own genre.
But as said before, my music is inspired by Jarre’s early albums and that genre is nowhere near fully explored.

In the search of the sound Jarre became famous for, I bought an used Eminent 310U in 2015. I am more of a midi man than a live man. And when I record, I mostly use my first recording and adjust it in my DAW. This is one of the reasons why I have chosen to sample the most important things on the organ: Strings Section (Upper + Lower), Bass, 2 registers from lower section and most of the upper section. There are sets for TX16Wx, Halion6, Uvi Falcon and Presence XT (studio One V3). They are all VST, which can run in your DAW (Cubase, Studio One, etc.). There are also setups for Cubase and Studio One to (try) get the right Jarre sound when you buy the samples package in the shop.

For those of you who does not have Halion 6 or Falcon, you can download TX16Wx free of charge here: http://www.tx16wx.com

Enjoy and go playing like Jarre.
